The Tuesday Morning Book Club at Cole Library will have its next meeting Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The group will be meeting in Room 108 at the Library, which is the large meeting room on the First Floor.
You can email Sherene Player at [email protected] if you have any questions. All are welcome to join the Book Club.
The 2022 schedule has been prepared for the group and will be released at this meeting. If anyone cannot attend the meeting, they can contact Sherene to obtain a copy of the schedule.
At the January Meeting, the group will be reading and discussing the book Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner. Sherene Player will lead the discussion.
From the publisher comes this summary of the book: “Crossing to Safety has, since its publication in 1987, established itself as one of the greatest and most cherished American novels of the twentieth century.
“Tracing the lives, loves, and aspirations of two couples who move between Vermont and Wisconsin, it is a work of quiet majesty, deep compassion, and powerful insight into the alchemy of friendship and marriage.”
