Do you have a favorite PBS series from your childhood?
For many it is Thomas & Friends – The little tank engine that has adventures on the Island of Sodor with his train engine friends. This popular series ran in the United States for 30 years. Over the years some of the narrators have been famous people whose names you may recognize – Ringo Starr, George Carlin, and Alec Baldwin.
Even though they are no longer making new episodes of the series, it is still very popular our youngest patrons here at Cole Library. So popular, in fact, that many of Thomas and Friends DVDs were scratched, lost, or worn out.
Instead of replacing them one at a time we have purchased the Thomas & Friends Collection. The collection includes The Adventure Begins the first episode in the series, 20 DVDs many that feature 6 to 9 episodes, and four feature length movies.
