Robert R. Harbaugh, the son of Russell and Theresa Harbaugh, died Oct. 13, 2025, due to an unexpected accident at the young age of 37. Visitation will be held at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 2-6 p.m.
Robert was born August 12, 1988 in Muscatine. He was married to Rachel Harbaugh on September 23, 2012 in Iowa City, and became a loving father to three beautiful children: Indalecio Harbaugh, Mikaela Harbaugh, and Ryder Harbaugh. He is also survived by his grandmother, Dianna, and two brothers, Randy and Riley Harbaugh; along with his 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Harbaugh.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and completed a tour in Afghanistan. After his time in the military, he became a mailman for the Mount Vernon and Solon area. Robert grew up in Stanwood, where he graduated from North Cedar High School in 2006.
Growing up Robert was a big outdoorsman who loved his fishing time in the summer and once it hit fall and winter, he was out hunting. But, the one thing he thought was most important in life was spending time with his loved ones. Whether it was a long weekend with his family or just a phone call, he really cherished those moments.
