Cookbooks are a popular item at Cole Library. People like to read about new recipes to try. The way people find and use recipes has changed dramatically–blogs, Pinterest, and Instagram—which drives the book industry to publish cookbooks by bloggers and Instagram influencers who may or may not be certified bakers or chefs. Many of these recipes come from people who just love to cook and their delicious recipes have earned them millions of followers.
Each of these new cookbooks has a blog associated with it so after you enjoy the book, you can find more recipes online. Some authors share more than recipes and actually give a glimpse into their thoughts on fashion, family life, etc. The books also have beautiful full-page photos of the final dish. If the book is checked out, don’t forget you can put it on hold. Bon Appetit.
