Lisbon Music Boosters soup supper

The Lisbon Music Boosters are holding a soup supper tonight (Thursday, Oct. 9) at the Lisbon Community School Cafeteria from 5-7:30 p.m. There will be soup and chili served and each meal ticket comes with a dinner roll, a dessert option and a variety of drinks. Ticket prices are $8 for adult, $5 for senior citizens and elementary students and free for preschool and younger individuals. The proceeds benefit the Lisbon Music programs.

Mount Vernon History Night

Mount Vernon history students will present their history projects on local history Monday, Oct. 20, in the Mount Vernon High School Commons from 5-6 p.m.

Hwy. 1 Marching Band Classic

The Hwy. 1 Marching Band Classic returns Tuesday, Oct. 14, beginning at 7 p.m. at Lisbon Schools. Lisbon will be charging a $7 admission for the evening, with proceeds benefiting Lisbon’s band program. Bands performing for the year include Lisbon, Solon, Mount Vernon and Anamosa.
