Kraig and Pam Hunter, and their son Jake, cut the ribbon for Round About Repair Shop, located west of the roundabout on Highway 1 Tuesday, June 10. The business opened doors in early March of this year, and Kraig has spent a lot of time beautifying the outdoor of the shop, including repaving the concrete, flattening the ground to the east of the shop and the siding colors. The shop was a pivot for Kraig, who spent the majority of his life working for agricultural dealerships. The shop offers diagnostics, tune-ups, brakes, tires, suspension repair and alignment. The shop is open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays and appointments can be made by calling 319-895-8119.
Others present at the ribbon cutting include Lisa White (Cornell College), Brenda Langenberg (Hills Bank), Jake Krob (Mount Vernon Bank and Trust), Michelle Zaruba (Hills Bank), Jake, Pam and Kraig Hunter (owners of Round About auto Repair) , John Bardsley (City of Lisbon), Jessie Thurn (Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group), and Kim Heeren (Pearson and Virlee).
