The foursome of Seamus O’Connor, Chasen Caskey, Grady Olberding and Dawson Scheil helped score most of the 13 team points that placed Mount Vernon in 17th in 3A last weekend at the State Meet in Des Moines.
The distance medley of Colin Bentley, Logan Stanerson, Holden Hlavacek, and Olberding finished in sixth, and Olberding was seventh in the 1,600.

The Lisbon girls’ track team got all their points at state from Emersyn Reiter and Mykala Luzum-Selmon, who both jumped 5 foot in the high jump to tie for fifth place.
