Mount Vernon High School individual speech team cearned 42 Division 1 ratings and four Division 2 ratings at District Individual Speech Contest at Central DeWitt Saturday, March 1. Those earning Division 1 ratings will advance to State Individual Speech contest at North Scott High School in Eldridge Saturday, March 15. The team is coached by head coach Tawnua Tenley and assistant coaches Grant Freeman, Amy White, Trevor Baty and Mary Horst.
