Carthage College dean’s list
Carthage College named Tessa Baty from Mount Vernon to the spring 2024 dean’s list.
Dean’s List honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average while carrying at least 12 letter-graded credits in a given semester.
DMACC dean’s list
Des Moines Area Community College announced students eligible for the spring 2024 dean’s list. To be eligible, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Locals on the list include John Crowley of Mechanicsville (studying electric utility technology) and Thomas Monaghan of Mechanicsville (studying funeral services).
University of Iowa graduates
Locals graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2024.
Those included:
Mount Vernon – Makayla Lee, bachelor of arts in speech and hearing science; Sadie Player, bachelor of arts in biology; Madison Shultz, bachelor of arts in sociology; Jacob Conley, bachelor of business administration in economics; Lily Cripe, bachelor of science in geoscience; Nolan Hinrichs, bachelor of science in engineering in mechanical engineering; Kate Margheim, bachelor of arts with degrees in art and art education.
Mechanicsville – Daphne Hoefler, doctor of dental surgery in dentistry;
Iowa City – Madeline Swick, bachelor of science in psychology.
