Mount Vernon Lions Club
The Mount Vernon Lions Club met Wednesday, June 27, at The Local in Mount Vernon. Dan Stoner introduced the program for the evening which was the owner of The Local, Anna Wilson. She talked about the history of remodeling the building and the Glyn Mawr Winery. She especially emphasized their effort to sell products made in Iowa by other small businesses. The future Lions Club meetings will be held at The Local.
The Lion’s Club Bingo Tent for Heritage Days will serve as the July meeting and the next regular club meeting will be August 28.
