On Tuesday, June 18, the remaining instructors who were injured in a stabbing in China have returned to Iowa or their summer travel plans.
President Jonathan Brand released a letter, stating those victims have been reunited with their family members or continued with their previously scheduled summer travel plans.
“Thank you for your outpouring of support,” Brand said. “We are reminded just how wonderful our extended Cornell College community is at caring for each other.”
Brand thanked the outpouring of support from U.S. and China organizations that helped contribute to the care of the instructors, including at Beihua University. The college also thanked state and federal legislators, as well as the Department of State for their efforts to assist the instructors and their families.
