Art Collage event canceled
Friends of the Palisades Keplar State Park art collage event Saturday, June 8, has been canceled.
Mexican cooking class
Come learn how to cook authentic Mexican food with Manny Galvez. All recipes taught are vegetarian and feature the three sisters of Mexican cooking – corn, beans and squash. In the first session of the cooking class, you’ll learn how to make corn tortillas and chilaquiles.
Registration for the event is required by signing up at the Lisbon Public Library’s website (Lisbon.lib.ia.us/events). This is the first of three cooking classes on Mexican food offered this summer at the library. The second class is offered July 13, and the third Aug. 10.
