A brief rain squall could not stop story teller Darrin Crow from telling stories Tuesday, May 28, at Lisbon City Park. The story time just moved to an adjacent shelter, and S’mores making happened after the event. The event was the kick-off for family events for the Lisbon Summer Reading program. Elizabeth Hoover des Galvez, director of Lisbon Public Library, encourages every one to sign up for the summer reading program at the library. The library is running summer reading programs for all ages this summer. Crow illustrated how easy it is to tell stories on the fly, by teaching stories that can be told around a campfire and change with the suggestions of people in attendance so the story may not be the exact time with any telling.
