It was a week of highs and lows for No. 12 (2A) Lisbon softball.
On Saturday, May 25, the Lions won a pair of games at the Louisa-Muscatine Softball Classic in Letts.
Lisbon beat L-M 8-4. Kaitlynn Hasselbusch hit a home run. Lisbon then topped Mount Pleasant, 10-0 in six innings. Kyla Kahl pitched the shutout, giving up just one hit and striking out seven. Hasselbusch had three hits and Addie Clark hit 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
On Tuesday, May 28, the Lions dropped a pair to No. 4 (1A) North Linn, 5-4 and 13-4 at Bunting Field. Lisbon scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh of the first game, falling short of a comeback.
Sarah Dietsch had a home run and a double in the opener.
On Wednesday, May 29, the Lions took a pair from No. 15 (1A) Calamus-Wheatland, 10-2 and 7-4. Alexa Roos had a home run in the first game, and Dietsch had one in the second.
