The Lisbon girls’ golf team wrapped up the regular season by winning the Tri-Rivers East title Monday, May 6, at Bellevue Golf Club.
The Lions finished with 342 strokes, topping Easton Valley by eight.
“I am so happy and proud of how the girls played,” Coach Andy Kahl said. “They deserved to win, shooting a season-best 18-hole team score. We placed four girls in the Top 10, earning medals.”
Kaylie Kelchen was the meet medalist, carding a 75, which included a 1-under 35 on the back nine. Also in the top 10 were Eryn Jackson (86), Carie Johnson (88) and Brooke Ellyson (93).
“Kaylie was impressive today,” Kahl said.
Next up the Class 3A Regional on Wednesday, May 15, at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon.
