Mount Vernon boys’ golf finished sixth at the WaMaC East Divisional on Monday, April 29, at Pin Oak Pub & Links in Manchester.
It was a tough day for the Mustangs, who were missing their No. 1 golfer, Tommy Rhomberg, who was out sick.
Kellen Haverback led Mount Vernon with an 83.
The Mustangs then got to have a little fun on Wednesday, May 1, playing the first-ever Senior Administrators 3-Man Best Shot.
“We followed the event with a potluck and senior recognition,” Mount Vernon coach John Rhomberg said. “It was a great event and so much fun.”
The team with Dr. Batenhorst, Joey Rhomberg, Paul Goslin and Benny Pospisil was the winner, shooting a 5-under 30.
