Kid’s Book Club: “James & the Giant Peach”
Don’t miss out on the first meeting of the Lisbon Public Library’s Kids Book Club Tuesday, May 7, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Elementary-aged kids are invited to the Lisbon Library to eat peaches, play games, and work on crafts related to James & the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. Copies of the book are also available at the library, but kids are welcome to attend the event even ifthey haven’t read the book.
Friends of the Palisades-Kepler foraging event
Friends of the Palisades Kepler State Park will be holding a foraging event Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at the park. Attendees should meet by Cedar Cliff Trail along the river. A Linn County naturalist will show attendees what plants are edible along the trails as part of the event. Event is family friendly and free, though donations are always appreciated.
