The Lions boys golf team topped East Buchanan, 165 to 167 on Tuesday, April 23, at Buffalo Creek Golf Course.
Evan Coleman earned medalist with a 39.
“Evan shot his best round of the year battling some tough winds,” Lisbon Coach Dylan Hastings said. “He has been competing well all year, shooting around mid to low 40s, so it was awesome to see him break that 40 mark.”
Lisbon then finished second at the five-team Maquoketa Invitational on Wednesday, April 24, at The Maquoketa Country Club.
Vinton-Shellsburg won the title, up 30 strokes on Lisbon, and the Lions finished 21 strokes ahead of Maquoketa. Lisbon’s Blake Stejskal finished tied for medalist honors with a 79 and Tayler Sauser carded an 88.
