Mac Graves notched her team leading 32nd win of the year as Cornell’s women’s tennis team downed the University of Dubuque 7-2, Saturday at the Cornell tennis courts.
The Rams swept doubles against the Spartans claiming victories from No. 1 pair, M. Graves & Makayla Johnson, (8-3), No. 2 tandem Tansy Graves & Ashley Mink (8-2), and No. 3 duo Audrey Small & Isabella Wallin (8-1).
Cornell claimed straight-set victories in four singles matches, T. Graves (6-4, 6-1) at No. 1, Johnson (6-2, 6-1) at No. 4, Mink (6-0, 6-0) at No. 5, and Kaylee Hillyard (6-1, 6-0) at No. 6.
Small at No. 2 and Wallin at No. 3 battled tough in their singles bouts respectively, falling 6-2, 7-6 and 6-1, 1-6, 10-7.
Earlier in the week, the tennis team fell to Loras College 5-1 in a shortened dual.
