Cornell’s track & field teams turned in several personal-best marks at Mount Mercy’s Mustang Open, contested Friday and Saturday at Plaster Athletic Complex.
Junior Fisher Isaacson highlighted the men’s performances, posting a top-50 national time in Friday’s 1500. He was among six competitors to run under the facility record, placing fourth in 3:54.72. Isaacson also set a personal record in the 800, crossing third in 1:55.70.
The men’s 4×100 relay of Doniel Greiner, Hadley Beaty, LaQuanta Crawford and Jaxin McGuire clocked a winning time of 43.01. Beaty added a runner-up finish in the long jump (20-5.25).
Gabe Soda placed fourth out of 42 finishers in the 5000 invitational (15:00.62). Tyler Bilskie took third in the 10000 with a PR of 32:56.23.
Cornell’s women received individual titles from sophomore Ava Claussen-Tubbs in the 800 (2:19.76), sophomore Hailey Carolan in the high jump (5-5) and newcomer Bri Osterson in the javelin (123-7). Osterson’s mark ranks 45th nationally.
Katie Lammers was runner-up in the 1500 (5:06.53). Alyza Koppes broke the facility record in the 5000, placing third in 17:59.79.
Carolan took third in the 400 hurdles (1:09.02) and McAllister was third in the javelin (112-8). Both ran on the third-place 4×100 relay (50.01) that included Caitlyne Mar and Sidney Brown.
