Cornell’s women’s tennis team played host to Division II Truman State University and Central College on Sunday. The Rams narrowly fell in both duals, 6-3 to Truman State, and 5-4 to Central.
In the morning match, the Bulldogs swept doubles heading into singles play. Cornell battled back to split the six singles matches.
Mac Graves claimed the first point of the morning, claiming a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 super tiebreak win at No. 2. Isabella Wallin followed suit to earn a tight 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 4, while Ashley Mink finished out the dual posting a commanding 6-0 6-2 match at No. 6.
Against Central, doubles play with tightly contested. The Dutch pulled out narrow match tiebreak wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Tansy Graves and Mink teamed up for the lone doubles point with an 8-6 win at No. 2.
Tansy Graves and Mac Graves triumphed in their singles matches with straight set decisions at No. 1 and No. 2. Mink garnered her third win of the day in comeback fashion at No. 6 to round of the duals.
