Mount vernon Trailblazers 4-H Club
The Mount VernonTrailblazers held their February monthly meeting on February 4th,
2024. They deduced that they had gotten a $600 dollar donation from Kroul’s farm.They had gotten this donation because of picking pumpkins and gords before their October meeting. The committees meet. Community service discussed upcoming events in the spring. In March the club will help with a pancake breakfast held in the Mount Vernon Fire Department. Community service also talked about donating food such as veggie trays to all of the Mount Vernon schools during this conference season. The Education / Recreation committee discussed the possibility of doing a flag education during the May meeting. During the leaders report it was announced that anyone interested in doing a static project for the Linn County Fair should state very soon. It was also suggested that anyone that is showing animals this year needs to do YQCA so they can show in the fair. The YQCA is due May 15. There were also multiple presentations during this meeting including Bou, Caleb, and Tucker presenting on Official wrestling signals, Miles presenting about Jack Trace, Addi and Skyler presenting about How to Make Edible Cookie Dough, Maci presenting about What to do in Showmanship with cows, Jacob presenting about Lamb Care, Owen presenting about Crocheting, and Hannah presenting about Why Night in the Museum is the Best Movie.
