Cornell’s tracksters were at it again this weekend, breaking yet another record at the Wartburg Last Chance Qualifier.
On Friday night, the men’s distance medley relay established a new program standard with an impressive clocking of 10:00.02, good for 20th nationally in NCAA Division III this indoor season.
The foursome of Gabe Soda, Jaxin McGuire, Fisher Isaacson and anchor Isaac vanWestrienen finished eighth, shattering the previous school record of 10:18.42 set in 2022. Soda ran on that relay two years ago as well.
Sophomore Hailey Carolan took runner-up in the high jump (5-4.50). Sidney Brown crossed seventh in the 400 with a season-best 59.79.
The women’s distance medley relay of Brown, Carolan, Willow Ziegler and anchor Ava Claussen-Tubbs ran its top time of the season, placing eighth in 4:02.04.
LaQuanta Crawford was fifth in the men’s high jump (6-2.25).
