MV girls advance to semifinals

The Mount Vernon girls basketball team advanced to the semifinals in the state basketball tournament Monday, Feb. 26, with a 67-25 win.
The Mustangs will compete Thursday, Feb. 29, in the semifinal competition. Mount Vernon superintendent Dr. Greg Batenhorst encouraged students and community members to head to Des Moines to cheer on the team in that game.
