The Mount Vernon-Lisbon unit of the League of Women Voters of Linn County will be hosting a question and answer panel on sustainability, intentional living and increasing quality of life.
The session will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at Mount Vernon City Hall, with local panelists answering questions on community and individual changes. There will be no virtual option.
Example questions that will be answered – What do you mean by a sustainable community? Why recycle? Is paper, metal, glass recycling still successful and valuable?
No Mow May: How do you even begin to convert your lawn to indigenous plants your neighbors will love? What are the top simple activities people can do in their landscapes to improve their personal health simultaneously making a positive impact on climate change?
