Cornell drew a tough opening assignment to start the 2024 men’s lacrosse season, dropping a 26-1 decision to Carthage Saturday at Art Keller Field.

Cornell’s all-conference goalie Thomas Cook recorded 14 saves and a team-high eight ground balls in 45 minutes. Nathan Diveley came in the final quarter and saved four shots.
The Rams received five ground balls apiece from Luke Baldwin and Torii Greiskalns, who led the team with three caused turnovers. Ash Hoelscher earned seven faceoff wins.
Carthage finished with 65 shot attempts and held a 48-37 advantage in ground balls.
