Lisbon student participates in Central College Mock Trial team
Allyssa Jubeck, Lisbon, participated in the Central College Mock Trial Team. Jubeck is an elementary education major in the Class of 2025.
Mock Trial has been a student organization at Central College since 1984. For generations, Central students have developed and gained confidence in their public speaking skills, strengthened their knowledge of law and gone on to do great things. These members carry on the Dutch tradition of success.
Central College winter scholar days
Isaac and Lincoln Stensland of Lisbon participated in Central College’s winter scholar days. The Stenslands were among 140 students attending to compete for scholarships to the college.
Kirkwood Community College fall 2023 dean’s list

Minnesota State Mankato dean’s list
Ellie Tallman of Martelle was named to the fall 2023 honor’s list at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn. To be named to the honor’s list, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or above.
MV local among Carthage study tour
Tessa Baty of Mount Vernon studied Jane Austen’s Persuasion in England with Carthage College during its J-Term, a month-long period to explore subject areas. A Carthage tradition since the early 1970s, J-Term, or January Term, study tours allow students to experience new cultures and ideas without committing to a full semester abroad.
