Dustin Gavin, 41, Mount Vernon, was injured in a one vehicle crash along Hwy. 13 Saturday, Feb. 3. Center Point Ambulance transported Gavin to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Sgt. Chad Watkinson of Linn County Sheriff’s Office, first responders received a page to the areas of Hwy. 13 and Rath Road at 10:49 p.m.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene to discover a vehicle driven by Gavin in the west ditch. Gavin had been southbound on Hwy. 13 when he lost control of his vehicle, entering the west ditch and rolling the vehicle. The vehicle came to a rest on all four tires.
Gavin was charged with operating while intoxicated second offense, possession of a controlled substance, driving while license under suspension and open container, as well as other traffic offenses.
Third Fire District also responded to the scene of the crash.
