Mount Vernon had 20 division I ratings and six division II ratings at the district large group speech contest at Iowa City Liberty Saturday, Jan. 20. The team is coached by Grant Freeman and Tawnua Tenley, with help from assistant coaches Mary Horst, Amy White, Trevor Baty and Milo Olinger. Those earning Division Is advance to state speech contest Saturday, Feb. 3, to be held at Bettendorf.
