Martin Philip Sailor, 92, of Lisbon, passed away, Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024. Military services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon.
Martin Sailor was born Feb. 9, 1931, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Carroll and Anita (Verner) Sailor. He was a 1949 graduate of Lisbon High School.
Phil worked as a toolmaker for Collins Radio Company. He was a Korean Army Veteran serving in Korea from February 1952 to March 1953 as part of Headquarters company 19th Engineer Combat Group.
Phil is survived by many neighborhood friends who enjoyed checking in on him and were honored to be a part of his life. He is also survived by a nephew, Scott Sailor of Des Moines, and nieces Megan Pugh of Waukee and Heidi Peterson of Dallas, Texas.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers William and Carroll.
