Lisbon earned five Division I ratings and three Division II ratings at district large group speech contest at Iowa City Liberty Saturday, Jan. 20. Those earning a Division I advance to state competition in Bettendorf Saturday, Feb. 3.
Those earning Division I’s include: choral reading, “Seasons” starring Kennedy Baxa, Lynnlee Caspers, Olivia Davis, Cadence Dighton, Brynn Epperly, Sawyer Feldman, Kaitlynn Hasselbusch, Ben Jubeck, Maeve Krogmann, Faith Miller, Hallie Ries, Jenna Ries, Allie Silver, Kaitlyn Silver, Sydney Techau;short film “Sheriffs” starring Lilly Bodey, Bryce Boots, Ava Cossolotto, Cadence Dighton, Holley Dighton, Sawyer Feldman, Caroline Morris; ensemble actings “How To Survive Being In A Shakespeare Play” starring Rachel Bartels, Lynnlee Caspers, Ava Cossolotto, Morgan Kelley and Maeve Krogmann and “The Day The Internet Died” starring Payton Curtis, Ben Jubeck, Faith Miller and Sophia Roberts and musical theater “Shrek the Musical” starring Rachel Bartels, Bryce Boots, Bennett Cart, Tierryn Cart, Sophia Roberts, Allie Silver and Kaitlyn Silver.
Earning Division II’s were: group mime, “The Storyteller” starring Riley Clark, Ashlynn LeClere, Alina Mallie and Leila Mayhew; radio broadcasting, “VID19” starring Caroline Morris, Kamryn Kahl, Lohgan Anderson, Avery Long and Payton Curtis; and group improv “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly” starring Bennett Cart, Morgan Kelley and Chris Ricke.
