Lisbon boys’ basketball dropped back-to-back games, falling to Regina, 61-44, on Thursday, then to Maquoketa Valley, 58-51, on Friday.
Earlier in the week, Lisbon (8-4) beat Midland 72-28. Grayson Wollum and Daylin Schaefer each had 15 points.
Against Regina, the Regals (9-2) raced out to a 20-5 lead after one quarter. Jackson Powers led the team with 12 points.
Lisbon led Maquoketa Valley (8-2) at half, 27-24, but a poor third quarter sunk the Lions. Michael Gadberry had 17 points and Devin O’Brien added 15.
GirlsThe Lisbon girls’ basketball team had a rough week, going 0-3.
The Lions lost to Midland, 50-38, to No. 4 (2A) Regina, 52-20, and to Maquoketa Valley, 60-32, all in the Lions’ Den.
Against the Eagles, Addy Happel and Kamryn Kahl each scored 11 points.
The ranked Regals led 35-5 at halftime.
No stats were submitted for the MV game. Maquoketa Valley is 7-4. Lisbon is now 4-9.
