On Saturday, Dec. 9, participating Mount Vernon businesses will be holding a Secret Number Giveaway event as part of what is being called the Last Chance Holiday Specials Giveaway.
Each participating business in the Main Street District will have a laminated sheet that contains a secret number posted inside their business. One business will have the winning number on display 798146, one of four winning numbers that have been posted in ads, through various social media posts and in press releases throughout the holiday shopping season.
Be the first shopper to discover one of the four laminated numbers on display in one of the 37 participating retail businesses and win $50 on the spot in Community Cash.
The Last Chance Holiday Specials and Giveaways event is the last of three Shop Small events managed through the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Development Group (CDG). All three events have included a centrally located Shop Small HQ where customers can sign up with a name and cell phone number. Volunteers pick one winning name and cell phone number out of a fishbowl at the top and bottom of the hour between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Customers will then be called on their cell phone and if they can make it back to the fishbowl in 10 minutes, they will win as much as $25 in gift certificates good for various businesses in the Main Street District.
Shop Small HQ and the registration fishbowl will be located in the new Little Scratch Coffee Roasters, 113 1st Street NW. Stop in between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to register and win.
