Jacobo Flores said that business for his barbershop in uptown Mount Vernon has been very steady, with Saturdays being one of his busiest days.
“I get so sad when I have to tell people on Saturdays that I can’t get them in the chair,” Flores said. “I usually see my schedule start to fill up on Mondays with appointments for the week as well.”
Flores has been cutting hair professionally for three years, and this is his first barbershop.
The Golden Cut is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Appointments can be made via Booksy or walk-ins are accepted as space is available.
