John Edwin Studt, 87, Bentonville, Ark., passed away Sept. 7, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Methodist Church in Mount Vernon from 1-4 p.m.
He was born Feb. 15, 1936 in Mount Vernon and moved to Arkansas in 1991 after retiring from Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.
John was a volunteer firefighter in Mount Vernon. During his life he enjoyed spending time with family, camping, bowling and collecting souvenir playing cards while traveling. He liked working in his yard and was known for his elaborate Christmas light displays.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Studt, Bentonville, Ark.; sons Terry (Janice) Studt, Dennis (Mary) Studt, Cedar Rapids and Kevin (Ellen) Studt, stepson Mike Sebetka, Bentonville, Ark.; stepdaughter Kathleen Sebetka, Md.; three brothers Sam, Mike (Deb), LeRoy (Shirley) Studt and sister Kathy (Dennis) King. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Mary (Hayes) Studt, Mount Vernon; sisters MaryAnn Moon and Lorraine Schott; brothers Harold, Jacob (Junior), Vernon, Lawrence, David, Tom and infant Myron Studt.
