It was steady business for Scooters Coffee last Saturday, as they held a fundraiser for the Cedar Valley Humane Society coinciding with national dog day.
Teresa Duling and the baristas who were unable to make the trip the first time were back to drop off the proceeds and another batch of pup cups to dogs at the Humane Society Thursday, Aug. 31.
Duling noted it was one of the four busiest days for the coffee shop since opening, and showed Mount Vernon and Lisbon communities really love animals.
King Buddy was the winner in the raffle drawn from eligible dogs in the community.
