Construction has begun at Lisbon schools on the new career and technical education classroom and weight room additions.
Arrivals and dismissals at the school have been impacted. Students now must be picked up and dropped off at the secondary entrance to the building. Elementary students will walk through the secondary commons area through the music hallway, then to the Lions Den hallway to the cafeteria for breakfast or to the playground.
Elementary students will also follow the same route at the end of the school day.
The Lisbon Early Childcare Center (LECC) parking lot’s west entrance is closed during the construction of the CTE classroom. The lot now serves as a horseshoe (cars enter and exit from the same location) for LECC drop-off and pick-up only. Students who have siblings who attend LECC can be dropped off at LECC lot and proceed through the elementary entrance. Elementary students can also be dropped off at the LECC parking lot and use the elementary entrance if being picked up or dropped off from a doctor’s appointment during the school day.
In the south parking lot (adjacent to the district office), the school will lose two full rows of parking along the south side of the gymnasium.
The bike rack is being moved to the grassy area between the sidewalk and auditorium.
The district expects that, due to parking being limited in the district and LECC lots, a lot more vehicles will end up in the north parking lot. People can utilize street parking along South Jefferson, South Pride Street and South Street during school days.
