Rod Kelley and the building maintenance crew at Lisbon Schools were busy this summer on several smaller projects.
One of the things people may notice in the building is that all stairway railings in the school have been painted and match one another for the first time in several years.
The choir room and technology office were painted and an exterior door to the art room was replaced.
The new coat hooks for winter gear were hung in the elementary hallways. Those were paid for by money from the Teeling Walkathon.
Emergency lighting was also updated in the 1R and 2R hallways of the building ahead of inspections coming through.
The crew spent time working on the sidelines along the track which have seen an amount of erosion. Kelley said that might be a multiyear project to address.
The practice field has also taken a lot of work, and it has not helped that this has been one of the driest summers on record for keeping grass alive.
Fans were installed in the concession stand to help with air circulation and a light was installed near the grill area.
The Lion’s Den floors were sanded, and all floors in the building have been waxed.
