Southeast Linn Community Center held a painting workshop Wednesday, July 26, led by Trish Kolby of Out on a Limb Painting.
Attendees had the opportunity to paint their own magnets over the course of the hour painting session.
“This looks so good I could almost eat it (chomp),” recounted Maggie, one of the painters looking at her finished bomb pop magnets. Maggie was also celebrating her birthday that day.
Stasia, Fia, and Evie were among the group sharing the six colors they had on their paint trays with one another, as well as goals of having similar looking fridge magnets.
“Cover your flamingo floatie with white paint first so the pink paint will stand out a little more,” Stasia instructed.
Because a number of kids who had signed up for a painting session were not in attendance, many of the attendees were able to paint two sets of six magnets.
Kolby also holds painting workshops once a month at Beau Dylan’s in Lisbon for any adults who are interested in painting parties.
