Pups on the PatioJoin Glyn Mawr Winery’s The Local for their first annual Pups on the Patio event Friday, July 14. Leashed dogs are invited to The Local’s patio, where yard games, pup cups and drinks will be available. The event runs 5-8 p.m.
Wine Run/walk 5K and Pack the Pantry Glyn Mawr’s 5K Wine Run and Walk is also this Saturday, July 15. Starting point and ending point is the parking lot behind The Local for the event, with race day registration open beginning at 8 a.m. Proceeds from this year’s race benefit Southeast Linn Community Center. As well, The Local is holding a Pack the Pantry donation drive as part of the 5K event. Bring your donated food and non-perishable items to The Local from 9 to 11 a.m. to help SELCC’s Food Pantry. Specific needed items are: peanut butter, granola bars, spaghetti, elbow macaroni, canned ravioli, and Spaghetti-os. Even if you are not participating in the run/walk, you can drop off your donations to the food pantry at the booth.
Portrayal of Mount Vernon reception The Portrayal of Mount Vernon art reception is Thursday, July 20, from from 5-6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Creates. All are welcome to attend. There will be refreshments and awards.
