The Nitty Gritty Antiques Festival returned Tuesday, July 4, in uptown Mount Vernon. Many area businesses were open in uptown Mount Vernon for the festival, and several vendors brought their wares to First Street West and the First Street Community Center.
It was a warm July 4 morning and afternoon, with minimal clouds, but that didn’t deter more than 200 to attend the festival over the course of the day and shop for antiques and other items.
