The Lisbon Lions took four wins on the week, including against Starmont, MFL-MarMac and Easton Valley.
Monday, June 19Game one
The Lions took the first win over Easton Valley 9-2.
The Lions first eight runs came in the first six innings. Easton Valley added a single run in the sixth inning, and Lisbon added one more at the top of the seventh.
Landon Stolte and Hunter Clark were leading, with two hits and two runs each. Alex Bock had two hits and a solo run, as did Kaden Caspers and Aiden Jensen. Dillion Brayton had the other run in the Lions win.
Hunter Clark had the win, pitching six innings with three hits, two runs, two bases on balls and 12 strikeouts.
Game two
The Lions also took the night cap, winning 9-6 over Easton Valley.
Easton Valley was first on the scoreboard, with runs in the second and third inning. The Lions answered with two runs in the third inning. The Lions added another run in the fifth inning and three in the sixth inning. Easton Valley pounded two runs in each of the sixth and seventh inning, but the Lions answered with three more runs in the seventh inning.
Bock was the leading scorer with three runs and two hits. Kamaus and Caspers rounded the bases twice each, and Luke Czarnecki and Aiden Jensen rounded out the scoring. Caspers, Dakota Clark, Stolte, and Hunter Clark had two hits each.
Kamaus had the win, pitching six innings, with eight hits, six runs, one base on balls and nine strikeouts.
Tuesday, June 20 The Lions picked up their solo loss on the week to Durant 2-1 in a Tuesday, June 20 match-up.
Lisbon and Durant tied the game 1-1 in the third inning, and Durant added another run in the seventh inning for the win.
Bock was the solo scorer for the Lions, also having two hits in the game. Kamaus, Stolte, Hunter Clark, Czarnecki and Caspers had solo hits in the game.
Czarnecki took the loss, pitching eight innings with five hits, two runs, one base on balls and seven strikeouts.
Thursday, June 22
The Lions took a 9-2 victory over Starmont Thursday, June 22.
The Lions were first on the scoreboard, with a solo run in the first inning. They added three more in the fourth, and the Stars responded with two runs of their own. The Lions added five more runs in the sixth and seventh inning to cement the win.
Brayton led off the scoring for the Lions with three runs, followed by two from Kamaus. Bock, Hunter Clark, Czarnecki and Caspers had solo runs in the win as well.
Brayden Boots pitched for four innings with three hits, two runs, five base on balls and two strikeouts. Bock pitched three innings with three hits and two strikeouts.
Friday, June 23The Lions also stormed over MFL-MarMac in a 14-1 victory Friday, June 23.
The Lions pounded 11 runs between the first and third innings, and four more in the fourth inning. MFL-MarMac’s solo run came in the fifth inning.
Kamaus had three runs in the game, and Bock, Czarnecki, Jensen and Dakota Clark had two runs each. Stolte, Wesley Sadler, and Ryan Ross had solo runs in the win.
Brayton pitched five innings with three hits, one run, three base on balls and five strikeouts.
