Heavy milling and construction along Palisades Road began June 12, with the most extensive work beginning today (Thursday, June 19).
Assistant city administrator Lori Boren said the plan for the project has a two week window, with the heavy milling and tearing up of Palisades Road expected to last to June 19. They are expected to have the asphalt laid down by June 30, with a project completion of July 7.
“It’s possible there could be a driveway closure during the project, and if that happens, parking is available at the Lester Buresh Family Community Wellness Center,” Boren said.
The project will also have a $20,000 cost in reduction, as the milling will stretch from 10th Avenue to 17th Avenue, and then just an overlay for the remaining stretch of roadway to Business 30.
