The Lisbon varsity baseball squad hammered the visiting North Cedar Tuesday, May 30, in both games of their doubleheader.
The Knights, to be fair, did not have enough players for a team last season, and were working with what they had.
Game OneThe first in the two-game series ended in a 20-0 Lions win, which ended up being the better of the visiting team’s two games.
Luke Czarnecki and Cohen Kamaus each had three RBIs in the blowout. Brayden Boots was awarded the win at the mound with eight strikeouts in three innings pitched.
Game Two The second of the doubleheader games was even more painful for the fairly-new team.
The Lions posted 16 runs on the board in just the first inning, adding another 13 in the second, while the Knights were unable to respond with even one run. The game concluded with a 29-0 Lisbon win.
Hunter Clark scored five of his teammates in the victory to go along with four hits and a home run.
Dakota Clark also charted four hits, as well as two doubles and seven RBIs.
Dillon Brayton pitched three innings for the Lions, and fanned five.
