Linn County Planning & Development and Linn County Secondary Road Department recently moved multiple permit and zoning applications online to improve the customer experience and save staff time during the review process. The applications now available online for contractors and homeowners include:
• Planning & Zoning
• Building
• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Plumbing
• Zoning Cases
Secondary Road Department
• Entrance
• E-911
• No Spray
• Work in Right-of-Way
Building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits have been available online for several years, but a recent software upgrade allowed for the expansion to zoning and secondary road permits.
“Surveyors and customers applying for these permits have requested them to be online for the past few years,” said Planning & Development Director Charlie Nichols. “We are happy to implement this upgrade and further streamline our processes for our customers and staff.”
Information about applying for Planning & Development permits online can be found on the Linn County website. The building permits are found under the Building Division section and the zoning case applications are found under the Zoning Division section.
Linn County Secondary Road Department online permit information can also be found on the Linn County website. Residents are reminded that dust control permits, moving permits, and utility permits are only available via paper applications on the Linn County website or at the Linn County Engineering Office.
