The Lisbon varsity girls golf program has found a winning formula.
Leading in the Tri-Rivers East and featuring some of the strongest performers in the area, the Lions took second place Wednesday, May 17 in Class 3A regionals.
Kaylie Kelchen, a junior from Lisbon, posted the day’s low score of 77, helping her team chart as highly as they did.
The strong finish and strong season means Lisbon will participate in this week’s girls golf state tournament Thursday and Friday at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.
