Little Free Library (LFL) donated to Lisbon Public Library
A Little Free Library (LFL) has been donated to the Lisbon Public Library. Currently on display at the library, eventually it will be installed at Lisbon City Park.
“This is such a beautiful and practical gift for our library and community,” says Lisbon Library director Amy White. “It is a way to reach patrons when the big library is closed.”
The LFL was constructed and painted by Mount Vernon residents Les and Katrina Garner on behalf of the Mount Vernon Area Arts Council (MVAAC). MVAAC initiated the LFL program in 2018. Mount Vernon High School shop and art students built and painted eleven LFLs that have been installed by Lisbon & Mount Vernon residents during the past four years.

Incorporated in 2004, MVAAC is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to promoting the arts in the Mount Vernon-Lisbon community.
