The Mount Vernon-Lisbon boys soccer team picked up two wins and two losses in play last week.
Tuesday, April 11 The team hosted Solon Tuesday, defeating the Spartans 3-0.
Aiden Campbell, Jason Hoagland, and Ben Nydegger each scored goals for the Mustangs.
Thursday, April 13The team lost a challenge Thursday at Independence, 2-1.
Caleb Dausener provided the sole MV-L goal, with goalie Uwen Boettcher coming up with four saves.
Saturday, April 15 The team played a tournament Saturday at Kingston Stadium, defeating Xavier 1-0 before falling 3-0 to Pella.
The Xavier game ended regulation tied at 0, and penalty kicks ended up saving the day for the Mustangs, giving them a 4-3 advantage for a 1-0 win.
Eli Dickson, Caleb Dausener, TJ Nosbisch and Aiden Campbell each made their kicks from the mark.
