Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, was the inspiration of Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson. It was not an idea that took shape immediately, but evolved over several years and was first celebrated in 1970. It is a day designed to think about the earth, the environment, and our part in caring for both.
At Cole Library we hope you will take the care of our Earth seriously and make everyday Earth Day. Resources we have to help are:
How to Go (almost) Zero Waste, Rebecca Andrews
The Outdoor Citizen, John Judge

The Organic Country Home, Natalie Wise
