The Lisbon girls varsity track and field crew traveled to Dubuque last Friday to take part in the Tri-Rivers Conference indoor championships.
Though no team scores were collected, the Lions had some strong finishes at the meet, including junior Addy Happel’s first-place finish in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.63.
Second place finishes went to the 4×200 meter relay squad of Addy Happel Ava Czarnecki, Brynn Epperly, Peyton Robinson with a time of 1:52.54, the 4×800 meter relay squad of Gabi Moehlman, Alexa Roos, Maeve Krogmann and Addie Clark with a time of 11:08.93, the 1600 sprint medley squad of Mykala Luzum-Selmon, Ava Czarnecki, Krogmann and Clark with a time of 4:47.85, Luzum-Selmon in the high jump with a 5 foot leap.
“The girls had a great first meet with a lot of great performances,” remarked Lisbon head coach Casey Baxa.
